A short defense of the oak spatula.
An oak spatula is one of the most humble objects we sell. It is, functionally, a stick. And yet it’s also the thing that gets used most in our test kitchen.
Oak is dense enough to hold a bevel, soft enough not to gouge a pan, and naturally antimicrobial. A stick of it, oiled once a month, will outlast every non-stick pan in your kitchen.
We make ours from a single piece of European oak. No glue, no varnish, no metal handle. The kind of object you forget you bought because it just becomes part of the home.
